what a great day....
classes went well and in ear training we even got to sing a lovely barbershop melody. It was so beautiful!
Today was fabulous because I got to take a 2 hour nap....oh I love naps! It brings out the inner child in me. After my well deserved nap I had a nice dinner with Katy. There weren't any icecubes in our smoothies, yay!! no ice cubes in smoothies and good desserts = a good caf night!! After our dinner we went to an lgbt meeting for our TE 250 class. It was actually pretty interesting. its amazing how many things teachers have to deal with on a daily basis.
I had a delightful conversation with my dad. He is an amazing person. I love him soo much!! He is very wise and open minded. He is always helping others and trying to make a difference. His faith and kindness that he shares with others is so beautiful... I love him!! He looks for the good in others and gives me the inspiration to be a better person.
I know I say this a lot, but I really love my family. Of course, no family is perfect, but Im so grateful to be apart of mine. I love my big fat Catholic/German/Polish family! What I love most about my family is that my grandparents were very close friends. They went on trips together and were active in eachothers lives. When my parents got married, it was natural for everyone to accept their marriage because their families were so close. They both came from similar backgrounds and shared the same morals and beliefs. Its such a blessing to be apart of that loving environment. In addition, I feel like I am an individual not just another relative. Each person is unique and has special talents. Im the only "music major" in the bunch and its nice knowing that Im different from my other relatives and that I still am apart of them.
This is why I can never live in a different state....
I love my family and I would miss them so much
Listening to my dad talk to me tonight made me realize what my goals are in life.
The best gift that I could ever give him is to continue keeping my faith and passing down our traditions and morals to the next generation. This is exactly what I intend to do...
